You are Forgiven- Sept Bible Studies- Week 5- Day 5

Scripture Matthew 6: 12-13
And forgive us our debts,     as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,[a]     but deliver us from the evil one.[b]’

Observation

It is for the better forgive others so that our sins too can be absolved.  Stay away from the ways of the world so that we will not fall back into sin. 

Application 

We seek the forgiveness of our sins by GOD and to be able to obtain that we too need to be able to forgive others for their sins towards us. We must actively turn away from sin and the temptation of earthly desires so we be save from evil. 

Prayer
Dear GOD,
Give me the strength to carry on with all the different temptations in this world. Keep me away from the evils and lead me on the right path. 
AMEN. 

You are Forgiven- Sept Bible Studies- Week 5- Day 4

Scripture

And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Observation

God doesn't want us to bear grudges against other people. For our sins to be forgiven we have to forgive others first. 

Application

Try to forgive others even though it doesn't seem or is as easy as it looks like. There are many wrongs which we wish we want to see made right but it is not based on our timing but GOD. He will fix all the wrongdoings and give you the justice that you seek but in his time. Your sins will be forgiven if you forgive others. 

Prayer

Dear GOD help me have a forgiving heart and teach me how to forgive others so that my sins too can be forgiven.

Scripture
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Observation
God doesn't want us to stoop to the same level as these ingrates. We are much better then them .

Application

Two wrongs do not make a right. By behaving as vicious and obnoxious as the abuser doesn't make one any better. Stay true to the path and concentrate on doing GOOD even though others are doing bad and evil to you.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me control myself when I get tempted to do evil to "get even" with people who are bad towards me.
Amen.

You are Forgiven- Sept Bible Studies- Week 5- Day 2

Scripture

1 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”

22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times

Observation

Jesus asks us to forgive others even though it may not be easy for us to do so. I know I still struggle at this especially when the other person deliberately causes harm to me and the kids over and over again.

Application

Do not bear grudges with others. It does no good to use to keep all the pent up anger or other negative feelings within you. It will only eat at you and make you very bitter.  It is not easy to forgive a person but it is necessary especially when you need to close a chapter and move on. 

Prayer

Dear Lord,

Help me forgive those that don't deserve to be forgiven. Give me the solace that I seek.

You are Forgiven- Sept Bible Studies- Week 5- Day 1

Scripture

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Observation

God doesn't want us to harbor hate in our hearts.  He doesn't want us to focus on vengeance and make ourselves bitter in the process.

Application

God doesn't want us to be unhappy. He doesn't want us to grow bitter and lead crappy life as we indulge in negative thoughts. Keeping score is not the way to live life. Practice tolerance and understanding without having to break down your own boundaries. Forgive yourself for being affected by others and forgiveness is more for yourself then being wronged by others and letting them get away with their wrongdoings. Learn from your experiences. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

Help me to step away from the negativity associated with keeping grievances. I know that it is not something which I should be focusing on as it makes one bitter and stains the soul. I want to be with you and have peace.

Scripture
for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

Observation

There are plenty obstacles that we face in our lives. Certain challenges can leave us exhausted and totally deflated. There is lot of evil and people in the world making it an unpleasant place to live in. We face injustice due to the ways of the world that we may get sucked into. 

Application
It is not easy to detach yourself from the ways of the world. However it is certainly possible. By casting our worries and trials to GOD we will be able to overcome all the obstacles that were sent to us to handle. 
Victory is certainly possible with our FAITH in GOD. 

Prayer

Dear GOD help me separate myself from the desires of this world. Keep me focus on the victory and being in your light.

You are Forgiven- Sept Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 4

Scripture

 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things

Observation

Do not lust over the items/ ways of this world. In order for one to be saved he has to disregard and not pay attention to the distractions of this earth. 

Application

The pretty items and material goods are not something that is essential in our lives. Hankering after such items will only corrode your soul and make you drift  away from GOD. 

Focus on what is truly essential for you and that is maintaining a close walk with GOD. The things of the earth are only temporary and cannot be brought to the kingdom of GOD. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

Keep my focus on you. Help me not to be tempted and swayed by the ways of the world. AMEN

You are Forgiven- Sept Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 3

Scripture

 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin

Observation

We were crucified so that we can born again. All toxicity from us be removed from us so that we can start again as a clean slate. 

Application

It is our choice to choose whether we want to turn away from SIN and follow GOD. We can be free from the chains of this world IF we really focus on the WORD and give ourselves to him. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

thank you for giving me this chance to start anew. Being born again there is so many things I can do to grow in your ways.

You are Forgiven-Sept Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 2

Scripture

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Observation

The ways of the world is not the way of GOD. If you follow them you are only following the devil and moving away from the paradise that you have been promised. 

Application

Temptation to do bad and be evil are a plenty in this world. However one has to remember that only by following GOD is one able to get salvation.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I am grateful for you opening up my mind and making me aware of all the evils in the world so that I will not be tempted by them but make even more effort to remain and walk on the correct path.

You are Forgiven - Week 4 - Day 1

scripture

 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here

Observation

Rebirth is what that has happened when we are born again in Christ.  It  is a comming out process whereby we shed our old habits and live a new life. 

Application

Embrace changes. Only when you are open to the concept will you be able to reflect and grow. Nothing remains stagnant in this life and we do need to make sure that we are constantly growing in our knowledge of the WORD. 

Prayer

Dear GOD,

Being reborn in your love is one of the best thing that has happened to me. The new least of life has made me embraced my blessings and gifts more openly then before.

You Are Forgiven- Sept Bible Studies- Week 3- Day 5

Scripture
Surely it was for my benefit     that I suffered such anguish.
In your love you kept me     from the pit of destruction;
you have put all my sins    behind your back.

Observation
God put you through trials so that you be able to grow. Tough love is necessary to put you on the right path. 

Application
The obstacles that you face make you grow into a stronger and better person.  God is there for you and he will take care of you. 

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I understand that you are shaping me by setting challenging for me so that I can become the best version of myself. 
Give me the strength to carry on through the turbulence of life.

Scripture
Psalm 103:12
as far as the east is from the west,
    so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Observation
God has done wonders for us . He has the powers to remove SIN from us.

Application

Believe because anything is capable with GOD. He can really do wonders if we trust and follow his WORD.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I'm really honor to have you favor me and guide me along my path here on earth.

Scripture
 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

Observation
God will come for us. He will save us during his 2nd coming. He will fix everything for us. 

Application
God will save us . We have to ensure that we are ready and waiting for him to return. Turn away from the way of the world. Focus on GOD and the word. 


Prayer
Dear LORD,
I'm looking forward to your return and being together with you forever in heaven.

You are Forgiven- Sept Bible studies- Week 3- Day 2

Scripture

You will again have compassion on us;
    you will tread our sins underfoot
    and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.

Observation

God is kind. He gives us chances for us to redeem ourselves. He knows that we are not prefect and that we do need opportunities to make ourselves more worthy of his love. 

Application 

Like a loving parent GOD does not readily dismiss us when we make mistakes. 

He gives us opportunities to correct ourselves and turn away from SIN. We should seize these chances and improve ourselves. 

Prayer

Dear GOD,

thank you for your undying love towards me. I appreciate your compassion and guidance for me.

AMEN

You Are Forgiven- Sept Bible Studies- Week 3- Day 1

Scripture
 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Observation
God knows that we Sin and if we are repentant he will forgive us. 

Application

Do not dwell in Sin nor continue to err in your ways.  If you are willing to change and turn away from evil GOD will forgive us. He will show us the way to the light if we follow him and turn away from the Devil. 

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me to stay steadfast to you. Make me aware of my shortcomings and help me correct myself.

You are Forgiven- Sept Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 5

Scripture

 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Observation

God will reward those who turn away from SIN. Seek the Lord and all will be forgiven by him if you repent. 

Application 

God have given us a warning that we need to turn away from our evil ways and seek good. If we continue to follow the ways of the world and earthly desires we will not get our sins forgiven by him.  If we want to join him in heaven we will need to head his WORD.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

help me to turn away from sin and all the earthly wants/ desires. Aid me in my focus on you and your WORD so that I will be ready to enter your kingdom in time to come.

You Are Forgiven- Sept bible Studies- Week 2- Day 4

Scripture

9 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Observation

Jesus came to take away sin from the world.  He came to save us from the evils of this world. 

Application

God for sure must have love us a lot that he sent his own son to redeem us. That action alone shows the wonders of his love and his true intentions. We believe because we know the truth and now that we know the truth we must not intentionally fall into sin again. 

Prayer 

Dear LORD,

I'm really grateful that you send your own son to save me. Now that I have been awaken by the truth I will strive to do GOOD the remainder of my time here on earth.
