Walking in Wisdom- Feb Bible Studies- Week 3- Day 3

Scripture

1 The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.

Observation

It is the woman who maketh the home. She can either create a santuary  or a hell for the family.

Application

Build up your house carefully. It is your fortress which you need to guard with care. Be prudent in choosing your building materials for your house.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

guide me in my choice of materials to choose for my house. Help me build up my house with a strong and sturdy foundation. Amen.

Walking in Wisdom- Jan Bible Studies- Week 3- Day 2

Scripture
Proverbs 23:22
Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.

Observation
Lord our GOD teaches us to respect our parents as they are the ones that brought us into this world.

Application
Show gratitude and respect to the one who brought you into the world. However do note that GOD is the father above all earthly fathers. His word reigns supreme. 

Prayer. 
Dear LORD,
thank you for your commandments. Your words of wisdom are certainly words to be treasured.

Walking in Wisdom- Jan Bible Studies- Week 3 - Day 1

Scripture

Proverbs 13:20King James Version (KJV)

20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Observation

Choose the people you walk with carefully. They make or break you. 

Application

Only hang around with people who will enhance your knowledge or improve your life experiences. Don't hang out with people who are all out to destroy you or hamper your ability to grow in the WORD. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

help me choose my circle of friend/ influence wisely.  Lead me to wise men and keep the fools away.

Scripture

Proverbs 31:26

 She opens her mouth with wisdom,   and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

Observation

Speak with grace and knowledge will flow from you. 

Application

Use your words with care and you be able to change the world with your knowledge. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

teach me how to always open my mouth and speak words of wisdom. Show me how to use my voice to spread your WORD.

Scripture

Proverbs 12:22

 Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,     but those who act faithfully are his delight.

Observation

The LORD enjoys and blesses those who follow his WORD and speak the truth. He loathes people who are consantly telling lies and harming others with their words. 

Application

Speak the truth and only the truth. Do no be consumed with Jealousy, Anger and hate that you hate everyone around you and start spewing vile from your mouth. You can only be happy and content with yourself if you speak the truth and are filled with the spirit. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

Keep me speaking the truth so that I can continuously have the peace that will allow me to lead a good life here on earth.

Walking in Wisdom- Jan Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 2

Scripture

PROVERBS 10:19 19 When words are many, transgression is not lacking,     but whoever restrains his lips is prudent.

Observation

Be prudent with your tongue. Sometimes it is better to keep silent then to argue with fools.

Application

Do not use your tongue foolishly. Blabbing around and sprouting nonsense will not please the LORD.

Telling lies and fabricating truth is the worst poision a person can concote with his mouth. He not only defiles the LORD but himself too in the process.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

teach me to use my lips prudently and for your GLORY.

AMEN. 

Walking in Wisdom- Jan Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 1

Scripture

Proverbs 15:1

A soft answer turns away wrath,     but a harsh word stirs up anger. 

Observation

Be mindful of what you say. The tongue can be your downfall if you use it wildly. Many people use it for the devil instead of GOD.

Application

Think before uttering words from your mouth. What has been said cannot be taken back nor can it be erased. Be kind and tactful with your words.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

teach me how to speak tactfully. Help me  ensure that my words will not  make you ashame of my behavior and make your proud.

AMEN

Walking in Wisdom- Jan Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 5

Scripture: The fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom,
    and humility comes before honor.

Observation

To be able to learn from the LORD you need to have him in referrence. Remove your pride so that you can gain the wisdom that you need. 

Application

 To be able to learn one must acknowledge the teacher first. You are not above the LORD nor are you cleverer then him. If you are able to put yourself in the right frame of mind you will be able to gain the wisdom that you seek.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

keep me humble and teachable .I desire to gain all the knowledge I can from you and your WORD.

Amen.

Walking in Wisdom- Jan Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 4

Scripture
The Lord created the earth by his wisdom;
    by his knowledge he set the sky in place.
20 His wisdom caused the rivers to flow
    and the clouds to give rain to the earth

Observation

The LORD our GOD had planned and executed his plan to perfection. He knows what to do and how to do it.

Application
Believe in the LORD as all knowledge comes from him. He is the one who knows what is best for us and how we can go about seeking what we need. Follow his WORD and you will get want is for you. 

Prayer
Dear LORD ,
I know that all things come from and through you. It is with your guidance that  I am able to grow and blossom.

AMEN.

Scripture

 Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. 6 Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way

Observation 

Believe in the LORD more then your own judgement as he is the one who will lead the way. 

Application

Trust the LORD with all your heart and all your soul. He is the one who knows what is best for you and how you can achieve the goals and fulfill the desires you have. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

Help me to keep steadfast in my love for you and assist me always in seeking you in whatever I do.

Walking in Wisdom- Jan Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 2

Scripture

 It is the Lord who gives wisdom; from him come knowledge and understanding.

Observation.

All information and things come from the LORD. He feels our reservoir of knowledge

Application

Listen to the voice of GOD. He is the best teacher which you can have. The ways of the world are complex and may not be comprehensible. However when one focuses on GOD and his word profound knowledge and enlightenment will be attained.   Seek him first and you will gain much clarity.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I'm grateful to have you as my guide. Your wisdom and knowledge is simply overwhelming and I'm certainly extremely happy to learn from you.

Walking in Wisdom- Jan Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 1

Scripture
To have knowledge, you must first have reverence for the Lord.[a]Stupid people have no respect for wisdom and refuse to learn.

Observation
To be able to grow is being teachable. If you are not teachable you will not be able to gain any wisdom from GOD.

Application

Believe in the LORD and also respect him and his word. Know that he is there as a mentor for you and will guide you through your days here on earth. You need to learn to grow. 

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I'm glad to have you as my guide and mentor. You have time and time again shown the depth of your wisdom to me. Help me understand you and your teachings more and more each day.
