The Bright Morning Star - Dec Bible studies- Week 1 - Day 5

scripture

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi[a] from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Observation
Wise men came to pay Jesus homage after his birth. His coming to earth was well documented and received. His birth was rejoiced by them.

Application
 We need to be prudent in who we can believe in. Not all  "so-called" authority do things/ say things that in our benefit and like the Wise man they didn't go back to King Herod as requested as it would mean certain doom for them.  Celebrate Christ being in our live as he has and will be a blessing for us.

Prayer
 Dear LORD,
give me the wisdom of the Magi so that I too maybe able to discern right from wrong, good from evil like they have . Let me fully participate in your WORD.
AMEN.

The Bright Morning Star- Nov Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 4

Scripture

 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable,and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Observation

God tells you what you can expect if you follow him and his WORD.  He will be giving you all that he promises you if you do what he says.

Application

Pay attention to the way that GOD wants us to follow. It is in our best interest and certainly what we should be doing if we want to have the blessings which he promises us. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

thank you for the messages that you send through your prophets.  Your guidance during my journey here on earth is much appreciated.

The bright Morning Star- Nov bible Studies- Week 2- day 3

Scripture
12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Observation
God shows us what he is. He is the path and beacon which we should follow.

Application

We are given a choice. Either follow him or be left in the darkness.  Choose wisely

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I'm really blessed to have you around to be my guide. I appreciate having you here with me always.
AMEN. 

The Bright Morning Start- Nov Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 2

Scripture

“I see him, but not now;
    I behold him, but not near.
A star will come out of Jacob;
    a scepter will rise out of Israel.
He will crush the foreheads of Moab,
    the skulls[a] of[b] all the people of Sheth.[c]

Obervation

We know that the LORD will come in due course. We know how he will come and what he will do. He will render justice to the oppressed. 

Application

Be patient God will crush your enemies for you. He has promised to take care of you and he will. 

Prayer

 Dear LORD,

I put my trust in you. You will right all the wrongs and protect me from the evildoers.

AMEN. 

The Bright Morning Star -Nov Bible Studies- Week 1 -Day 1

Scripture

Revelation 22:16New International Version (NIV)

16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you[a] this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”

Observation

God sent his angels ahead of him to let you know who he is. He doesn't keep you wondering.

Application

God lets you know the truth. He doesn't hide the facts from you. You believe in him as you choose to follow and live in the truth. 

Prayer.

 Dear LORD,

thanks for your testimonials so that we may believe in your WORD.

Nov Bible studies- Week 4 - Day 5

Scripture
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Observation
God knows what you need and what is required by you. He will give you what you need based on his scale of accordance. 

Application
Let GOD know what is essential in your life and he will help to provide for it accordingly based on what he knows to be best for you.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I know that you will meet all my needs. I'm grateful for your attentiveness towards me.
AMEN. 

Nov Bible Studies- Week 4 - Day 4

Scripture. 
I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Observation
Having been through many different experiences it is good to learn to be contented with your lot as this all comes from GOD.

Application
Be contented with what you have. It by itself is a blessing from GOD. Show gratitude for what you have.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I'm very grateful for whatever you have given me.
AMEN.

Nov Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 3

Scripture

 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Obervation

Focus on what is good and keep your thoughts clean. Be positive and focus

Application

Do not let negative thoughts or unwanted thoughts and actions cloud your mind. You manifest what you want so focus on your goals and doing Good based on the WORD of GOD.

Prayer

 Dear LORD,

help me focus on purity and keeping myself pure in thought and actions.

AMEN. 

Nov Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 2

Scripture

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Observation

God tells us to be patient and pray on things that trouble us.He will give calm our anxious soul.

Application

 Don't be rash and pray in all situation. Give thanks to GOD and seek his guidance on matters which seem too complex or difficult for you to solve. He will give you the peace that you seek an a solution to the questions/ problems on hand.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I place all my worries and troubles in you. I know you are the one who I should and can rely on for help and guidance.

Nov Bible Studies- Week 4 - Day 1

Scripture
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.

Observation
Sing praises to the LORD as he knows all that you have done. He will be there for us and is coming soon.

Application
Be joyful in the spirit. Show that GOD is alive and that he is with us. Let the light of GOD shine from within you.

Prayer
 Dear LORD,
I'm really grateful for all that you have given me. I rejoice in your name forever.
AMEN. 

Nov Bible Study- Week 3- Day5

Scripture
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,


Observation
 We are only transiting here on Earth. We are waiting to join Jesus in heaven.

 Application
 Do not be too attached to the things here on earth. We are not here forever and nor will they give us the peace that we seek. 

Prayer
 Dear LORD,
prepare me for your kingdom. Keep me grounded in your word.
AMEN.

Nov bible Studies- Week 3 Day 4

Scripture
Only let us live up to what we have already attained.

Observation
Enjoy what you have been given by GOD. savor the fruits of your labour. 

Application
Live within your means. Don't crave for things that should not and do not belong to you as it will only cause you much grief in the end. 

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me t be contented with what I have and not be envious of others who seem to be doing better or more well off then me.
AMEN

Oct Bible Studies- Week 3 - Day 3

Scripture

Philippians 3:12-14New International Version (NIV)

12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Observation

Focus on now and what you can achieve in time to come. Don't dwell on the past.

Application

 Be forward looking and focus on what you can do today to achieve and get where you want tomorrow. With the end GOAL to be with GOD march forward. No point dwelling on the past and what you should/ shouldn't have done. It is a simple waste of time to do so as the past cannot be erased.

Prayer

Dear Lord,

help me keep the focus on here and now and on you always.

AMEN.

Oct Bible Studies - Week 3 Day 2

Scripture

What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in[a] Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.

Observation

What you gain in Christ is more then whatever the world may offer you. Worldly materials are frivolous to what GOD can offer you. 

Application

What GOD can offer you is much more then what you can get from the world. Material gains cannot compare to gains in the Spirit.  Focus on keeping the faith and being centered in him.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

help me keep my focus on you. Knowing  you and understanding your ways has been my privilege.

Amen

Oct Bible Studies- Week 3- Day 1

Scripture
For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh

Observation
Do not give in to the cravings of the Flesh as it doesn't bring you any good. 

Application
 Keep you focus on filling up your spirit instead of the craving and lust of the flesh which erodes your believes and faith. Don't let the Devil and his minions get to you and make you lose your moral values and faith in GOD.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
Help me keep my confidence level high and also my focus centered on you. 
AMEN.

Oct Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 5

Scripture
I have no one else like him, who will show genuine concern for your welfare. 21 For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ. 

Observation
There are many self centered and ungodly people in this world. They are only concern about what they can benefit even though it may cause grieve to other people. 

Application
Only GOD knows what's best for you. Man doesn't care about your live nor your well being as much as him. He only looks out for himself. Therefore focus on GOD more then Man.

Prayer
Dear GOD,
I'm glad that you constantly remind me to keep my focus on you so that I will not suffer the disappointment of Main.

AMEN.

Oct Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 4

Scripture
Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”[a] Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.

Obervation
Head the instructions from GOD. He asks you to do certain things for your own good. He has your best interest at heart.

Application
One may not understand his instructions at time but still go ahead and do it as he is asking you to do it for your own good.  He wants the best for you and for you to be outstanding.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
sometimes I may grumble especially when I don't understand your ways completely. Be patient with me and guide me so that I remain on the right path.
