Thessalonians April Bible Studies- Week 3 - Day 4

Scripture

And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Observation

God wants you to help others and let them know what is acceptable and unacceptable by him. Pray continually for his guidance. 

Application

 Follow the word strictly. GOD doesn't want you to do evil and harm others and yourself in the process. Continuously rejoice and pray. Show gratitude for all that you are given. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I thank you for sharing your wisdom with me.

Thessalonians April Bible Studies- Week 3 - Day 3

Scripture

1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 New International Version (NIV)

9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Observation

God plan for us to be together. He supports us and we should support others too. 

Application

Help others as GOD has helped you. He only wants the best for all his people.  GOD doesn't want anyone to suffer.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I'm taking heed from you  in encouraging others and trying to build up those around me as you have helped me. 

AMEN. 

Thessalonians April Bible Studies- Week 3 - Day 2

Scripture

But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.

Observation

Let us stay sane and not indulge in earthly evils . Remain steadfast in our LOVE for GOD 

Application

Trust and follow the LORD and do not be swayed by the naysayers and evildoers who want to tear you away from GOD. Use his WORD and LOVE for you as a shield against all evil. 

Prayer

Dear LORD  ,

thank you for the armour that you give me so that I can remain sober as I await your return.

AMEN. 

Thessalonians April Bible Studies- Week 3 - Day 1

Scripture 

for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night

Observation

You do not know what the timeline is when GOD will come again. Therefore be prepared.

Application

Do not be slack in your preparation for the coming of GOD. He will come again in due time. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I'm awaiting for your 2nd arrival. I'm looking forward to uniting with you again.

Thessalonians April Bible Studies- Week 2 - Day 5

Scripture

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 1

Observation
There  is hope in this world. GOD will bring back those who we love and hold dear who have died. 

Application
Keep the HOPE.  GOD will raise the dead in time to come. There will be joy and celebration when it happens. 

Prayer
Dear LORD,
thanks for giving me hope. With something to look forward to surviving the trials that are put to me here on earth is more bearable. 
AMEN. 

Thessalonians April Bible Studies- Week 2 - Day 4

Scripture

 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.

Observation
Do what you can by yourself. You do not need to seek validation from others to lead your own life.

Application
One should seek validation from within and from GOD only. We should not focus so much on the whims and fancies of others (Who may not have our best interest at heart) but on doing GOD's WORD and being true to yourself.

Prayer
Dear LORD ,
teach me to be humble. Let me not seek the approval of others but only you.
AMEN.

Thessalonians April Bible Studies- Week 2 - Day 3

Scripture
 It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should learn to control your own body[a] in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God;

Observation
 Do not let yourself indulge in wicked earthly pleasures of the skin. It will only cause you to suffer from diseases and kill your chance to be with GOD for eternity. 

Application
Stay true to the WORD and follow GOD's way not the Devil's. That is the only way you can be saved.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
thank you for opening my eyes and keeping me away from the temptations of the Devil.  Knowing you is the best thing that has happened to me.
