Jan Bible Studies- Week 1 Day 1

Scripture

Genesis 22:13-14

 Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram[a] caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”

Observation

God knows if we do follow his WORD and trust in him. He has provided for us and will constantly provide for us in our hour of need. 

Application

Sometimes we have to sacrifice everything that we hold dear to get it back.  Abraham sacrificed his only son willing to the LORD. By surrendering the most precious thing he had to GOD his blessings were multiplied and he could keep what he treasured the most.

Prayer

Dear Lord,

help me surrender all my worries and even give up what is most precious to you so that I will be able to keep them for all eternity.
