October Bible Studies- Week 5- Day 4

Scripture

16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

19-21The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Observation

You have to choose. One or the other. You cannot have both if you want to be a practicing Christian and at the same time indulge in all the sinful pleasures of this world.  Your soul would rot instead of being enriched. 

Application

Stay clear from indulging in the ways of the world if you want an enriching life in Christ.  It is impossible to be both rich on earth and rich in the eyes of GOD if you keep on focusing on the wrong things.  Be true to the Spirit so that you be able to enjoy the kingdom of GOD. 

Prayer

Dear GOD,

it has been and always be a battle to do what is right. Guide me and keep me in the Spirit.
