Scripture

Galatians 6:4

Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else,

Observation

Be responsible for your own action. Take pride in your own work and achievement without comparing yourself to others. Comparison only leads to envy and other negative feelings. It is not productive nor beneficial. 

Application

It is important to set your own standards and goals which you wish to achieve. Don't keep on comparing yourself to others or let others compare what you do to them or some imaginary standards. 

Prayer

Dear God,

thanks for the reminder that you alone set the bar and requirements and that we should test our own actions.  We should not let men measure us by their standards no measure others by our standards but take pride in our ourself without comparisons to others.
