Timothy Bible Studies- Week 3- Day 4

Scripture

So I counsel younger widows to marry, to have children, to manage their homes and to give the enemy no opportunity for slander. 15 Some have in fact already turned away to follow Satan.

16 If any woman who is a believer has widows in her care, she should continue to help them and not let the church be burdened with them, so that the church can help those widows who are really in need.

observation

God teaches us how to act so that we can protect ourselves against evil. He wants us to be generous to those in need. 

Application

God knows what is best for us and we should trust in him. He will not abandon us nor leave us without help. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I know that you have my best interest in heart. Guide me in your ways and let me keep your WORD.

 Amen. 

Timothy Bible Studies- Week 3- Day 3

Scripture
5 Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, 2 older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.
 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.


Observation
God wants us to try to treat people around us well and don't have any ill intentions towards them.

Application
 Treat others how you would like others treat you but at the same time don't be a pushover and carry out GOD's WORD. It is better to do things right by Christ then by man as he is the ultimate judge.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
Help me treat people fair and just while at the same time carry out your WORD + not get manipulated by evil.

Timothy Bible Studies- Week 3 - Day 2

Scripture
 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

Observation

Do not let others make you wayward from the path. Do what is right in your behavior during your life here on earth. You will save yourself by your actions.

Application
Do not let other's judgement get to you. They may not know better and lead you down the wrong path. Lead by example and take action to lead Godly lives. Spread the word through your actions.

Prayer
Dear Lord,
help me keep to the path and not let negative thoughts or people cloud my vision. 
Amen

Timothy Bible Studies- Week 3- Day 1

Scripture

 Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

Observation

God shows us the way to live. Abandon all the tales of the world if you want to be with him. 

Application

Do not give in to rubbish tales and gossips that many spread around us. All these are created by evil to distract us and keep us away from the right path. We need to train our minds and grow in our spirituality.

Prayer

 Dear LORD,

help me keep focused and away from all the evil gossip and tales that others enjoy spreading around. Train me in your WORD so that I may be with your forever.

AMEN. 

Timothy Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 5

Scripture

 if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth. 16 Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:

He appeared in the flesh,
    was vindicated by the Spirit,[a]
was seen by angels,
    was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world,
    was taken up in glory.

Observation

God gave us instructions via the prophets so we are knowledgeable about his WORD and can follow him. 

Application

 God suffered to take away our sin. He prepares us for his 2nd coming. Heed his WORD.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I'm looking eagerly for your 2nd coming and being with you forever in your kingdom

AMEN.  

Timothy Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 4

Scripture

 In the same way, the women[b] are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.

12 A deacon must be faithful to his wife and must manage his children and his household well

Observation

GOD tells us to behave ourselves based on his WORD. To be one with values and integrity. We need to manage ourselves properly

Application

 Being a follower of Christ we must do according to his WORD and be discipline in our actions to live according to what he plans for us.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

Help me be one who is worth of respect from others and also assist me in adhering to your WORD.

AMEN

Timothy Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 3

Scripture
 Therefore an overseer[a] must be above reproach, the husband of one wife,[b] sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
 He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive

Observation
One must show by example that he is living by the WORD to be able to teach his descendants properly. If he himself cannot be disciplined he will be unable to control or lead his own household.




Application
Do good and be good yourself. Lead by your own action not just words. Walk the talk and prove that it can be done so that others too can follow the ways of GOD. Take charge of your life and be responsible for your actions. 

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me keep discipline and stick to your WORD so that my kids too may know you like I do.
AMEN.
