Therefore an overseer[a] must be above reproach, the husband of one wife,[b] sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive
Observation
One must show by example that he is living by the WORD to be able to teach his descendants properly. If he himself cannot be disciplined he will be unable to control or lead his own household.
Application
Do good and be good yourself. Lead by your own action not just words. Walk the talk and prove that it can be done so that others too can follow the ways of GOD. Take charge of your life and be responsible for your actions.
Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me keep discipline and stick to your WORD so that my kids too may know you like I do.
