April Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 2

Scripture
Ecclesiastes 5:8-17

Whoever loves money never has enough;
    whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income.
    This too is meaningless.

11 As goods increase,
    so do those who consume them.
And what benefit are they to the owners
    except to feast their eyes on them?

12 The sleep of a laborer is sweet,
    whether they eat little or much,
but as for the rich, their abundance
    permits them no sleep.

Observation

The things of the world will never be able to satisfy us.  It is like a drug which is eating away at your soul until you are no more. 

Application

Do not be obsessed with the things/ ways of the world. It will not be able to give you peace nor satisfaction. Focus on the ways of GOD instead. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

Let me put my focus on you. Don't let me fall in the trap of perusing the ways of the world and work myself to death of the soul.
