Book of Ruth- May Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 4

Scripture
14 The women said to Naomi: “Praise be to the Lord, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel! 15 He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth.”

Psalm 30:11New International Version (NIV)

11 You turned my wailing into dancing;
    you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy

Observation
Everything turned out for the best in the end. Naomi was given a son again and all was well. 

Application
Follow's GODs words and you will receive your blessing.  He knows what you need and will give it to you.

Prayer
Dear LORD, I await to receive your blessings like these women did in your time.
AMEN.

Book of Ruth- May Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 3

scripture

Ruth 4:11-12New International Version (NIV)

11 Then the elders and all the people at the gate said, “We are witnesses. May the Lord make the woman who is coming into your home like Rachel and Leah, who together built up the family of Israel. May you have standing in Ephrathah and be famous in Bethlehem. 12 Through the offspring the Lord gives you by this young woman, may your family be like that of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah

Observation

God made good the promise of providing for Ruth  and Naomi when they put their trust in him.

Application
Everything will work out in the end as GOD has promised. We just need to put our faith in him.

Prayer
Give me the strength to hold on like Ruth and Naomi in my hours of darkness where I am facing difficult challenges.
AMEN.

Book of Ruth- May Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 2

Scripture

Then Boaz said to the elders and all the people, “You are witnesses this day that I have bought from the hand of Naomi all that belonged to Elimelech and all that belonged to Chilion and to Mahlon. 10 Also Ruth the Moabite, the widow of Mahlon, I have bought to be my wife, to perpetuate the name of the dead in his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brothers and from the gate of his native place. You are witnesses this day.”

Observation
As predicted by Naomi, Ruth was redeemed by Boaz and she was given a new life with him. Everything was done by the book.

Application
Everything worked out in the end.  Even though there was a lot of uncertainty however Ruth's faith saw her through. She got what she deserved. 

Prayer
Dear  Lord,
help me keep the faith and be patient enough to wait till it's time for me  to receive all the blessings that you have bestowed upon me.
Amen.

Book of Ruth- May Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 1

Scripture

Ruth 4:5-6

Then Boaz said, “The day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you also acquire Ruth[a] the Moabite, the widow of the dead, in order to perpetuate the name of the dead in his inheritance.” Then the redeemer said, “I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I impair my own inheritance. Take my right of redemption yourself, for I cannot redeem it.”


Observation
Boaz played by the rules and seeked the 1st in line's opinion before claiming the right of redemption for himself.

Application
Do what you should do so that you will get what you need and be blessed by GOD. There is a proper order to everything.

Prayer
Dear GOD,
help me understand your ways and follow your instructions so I too may have the inheritance that you have prepared for me.

AMEN.

Scripture

Ruth 3:14-15English Standard Version (ESV)

14 So she lay at his feet until the morning, but arose before one could recognize another. And he said, “Let it not be known that the woman came to the threshing floor.” 15 And he said, “Bring the garment you are wearing and hold it out.” So she held it, and he measured out six measures of barley and put it on her. Then she went into the city

Observation
Ruth did as her mother in law told her.w She had faith that everything will turn out well. She got her payment.

Application
God rewards those who listen to him. He gives them his blessings.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me keep the faith in you so that I too may receive blessings from you.

AMEN.

Book of Ruth- May Bible Studies- Week 3- Day 4

Ruth 3:12-13English Standard Version (ESV)

12 And now it is true that I am a redeemer. Yet there is a redeemer nearer than I. 13 Remain tonight, and in the morning, if he will redeem you, good; let him do it. But if he is not willing to redeem you, then, as the Lord lives, I will redeem you. Lie down until the morning.”

Observation
As what Naomi had predicted. The redeemer was willing to redeem Ruth to be his own.

Application
Everything happens as based on the plan by GOD. Follow his instructions so that you be able to get what you need.

Prayer
God knows what is best for you. He has mapped out your life so that you will be provided for.
AMEN.

Book of Ruth - May Bible Studies- Week 3- Day 2

Scripture
Ruth 3:8-9
In the middle of the night something startled the man; he turned—and there was a woman lying at his feet!
“Who are you?” he asked.
“I am your servant Ruth,” she said. “Spread the corner of your garment over me, since you are a guardian-redeemer[a] of our family

Observation
Ruth did whatever her mother in law told her. She was obedient and followed instructions.

Application
Things will work out as GOD has planned. He knows what we need and will provide. Place your faith in him.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me develop iron clad faith in you like Ruth has.
AMEN.

Book of Ruth- May bible studies- Week 3- Day 1

Scripture
Ruth 3: 3-4
Wash, put on perfume, and get dressed in your best clothes. Then go down to the threshing floor, but don’t let him know you are there until he has finished eating and drinking. When he lies down, note the place where he is lying. Then go and uncover his feet and lie down. He will tell you what to do.”

Observation
Ruth followed her mother -in- law's instructions and got ready as she has instructed. She placed her faith in the directions given.

Application
 Follow the word of  GOD.  Even though you may not know why it is carried out in this way. Everything is in GOD's timing and he knows what we need and when it will be given to us.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me have faith like RUTH so that I too can receive your blessings.

Book of Ruth- May Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 4

Scripture
Ruth 2:17
So Ruth gleaned in the field until evening. Then she threshed the barley she had gathered, and it amounted to about an ephah.[a]


Observation
One is able to gather a lot if they work hard for it. God will bless them.

Application
Work hard as God will certainly bless you for your labor.

Prayer
Thank you GOD for constantly watching over me and blessing me with the things I need and making my life better.

Book of Ruth- May Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 3


Scripture
Ruth 2: 11-12
 Boaz replied, “I’ve been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband—how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before. 12 May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.

Observation
God knows what you do. He pays attention to everything and rewards you for your dedication and hard work.

Application
Do what you are suppose to do and take heed that you will be able to reap the fruits of your labor.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me to keep the faith like Ruth did. Her determination is something that is really admirable and something that I want to cultivate.

Book of Ruth- May Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 1

Scripture 
Ruth 2:3
So she went out, entered a field and began to glean behind the harvesters. As it turned out, she was working in a field belonging to Boaz, who was from the clan of Elimelek.

Observation
It is interesting how GOD directs Ruth to the "correct' field. She was harvesting from a relative of the family. 
Application
 God really works in strange ways. He knows how to make us do things at the right time. It is always in his time. 

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me know more about you and your design each new day so that I can appreciate you more.
AMEN.

Book of Ruth- May Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 5

Scripture
Ruth 1:19-21

Ruth 1:19-21New International Version (NIV)

19 So the two women went on until they came to Bethlehem. When they arrived in Bethlehem, the whole town was stirred because of them, and the women exclaimed, “Can this be Naomi?”
20 “Don’t call me Naomi,[a]” she told them. “Call me Mara,[b] because the Almighty[c] has made my life very bitter. 21 I went away full, but the Lord has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi? The Lord has afflicted[d] me; the Almighty has brought misfortune upon me.”

Observation
Naomi became very bitter when things didn't go her way. She didn't accept what GOD had designed for her life.

Application
Everything happens for a reason. There is no need to become a grouch or a bitter old lady and blame everything else on others when things seem not to go your way.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me be grateful for my lot and also not to blame GOD for any obstacles he send my way.
AMEN.


Book of Ruth- May Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 4

Scriptures
Ruth 1: 16,17
16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. 17 Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.

Observation
Ruth shows her loyalty to the family she married into. She makes it know since it was her choice to enter this family it is here she will stay till the end of days.

Application
God will bless all those who loyally follow him and his word. Have faith that the LORD will deliver you from all troubles and obstacles that you are facing.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me develop rock like faith like RUTH who trusts you with her whole heart.
AMEN.

Book of Ruth- May Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 3

Scripture
Ruth 1:8
Then Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go back, each of you, to your mother’s home. May the Lord show you kindness, as you have shown kindness to your dead husbands and to me.

Observation
We all go back to our Original families in the end. We return back to source.

Application
 Even though we may have left our original families to create new ones with our partner when they are no longer around we will have to return to our own source (Roots)
Being Good will ensure that you are constantly blessed.

Prayer
Dear Lord,
I'm really glad to have you to turn to and go back to you when my time is up here on earth.
AMEN.

Book of Ruth- May Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 2

Scripture

Ruth 1:4-5New International Version (NIV)

They married Moabite women, one named Orpah and the other Ruth. After they had lived there about ten years, both Mahlon and Kilion also died, and Naomi was left without her two sons and her husband.

Observation
People live and die based on GOD's  plan for us. Nothing in this world is forever.

Application
Life and death is part and parcel of this world. Joys and sorrows too are not ever lasting. Only the love of GOD will withstand the test of time.

Prayer
Dear Lord,
help me to understand more about why certain things happen in my life and let me grow wiser from the experiences.
AMEN
