Scripture

Ephesians 2:10 New International Version (NIV)

10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Observation

There are things that we can do as GOD has equipped us to do.

Application

Do what God has prepared in advance for us. He knows what we can do and we should not  belittle our abilities.

Prayer

Dear GOD,

thank you for giving me so many different talents so that I can do your work.

AMEN.

Brave Jan Bible Studies- Week 5- Day 4

Scripture

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

Observation

GOD gives different things to different people.  He knows that each one of us have different  talents which he hopes to nurture

Application

Use the gift that GOD has given you for the glory of his WORD. Focus on being Good and bring GOOD to his people. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I give you thanks for your gift of teach in me which I am developing so that I can fulfill your will.

Scripture

1 Corinthians 12:4-7 New International Version (NIV)

Observation

God gives us various different gifts so that we are able to do his work.

Application

 Make good use of the gift that GOD has given you to carry out his work. 

Prayer

Dear LORD.

Help me maximise the gift that you have given me.

Brave Jan Bible Studies - Week 5- Day 2

Scripture
 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Observation
God wants us to live in LOVE. He wishes for us to be in good relationship with each other.

Application
Love one another like how GOD does. Let everyone know that you are his disciple.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I'm blessed to be your disciple and am basking in your love for me.
AMEN.

Brave Jan Bible Studies- Week 5- Day 1

Scripture
 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 

Observation

Encouragement is very important . Give it to one another.

Application

Think about what you can do to ignite your passion and focus on the GOOD you can do for yourself and others.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
Let me focus on the GOOD and rid my mind of negative and bad thoughts.
AMEN. 

Brave Jan Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 5

Scriptures
Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”

Observation
Nothing is impossible for one that believes in GOD. He can make anything happen.

Application
Don't doubt the ability of GOD. He can create miracles. 

Prayer
 Dear GOD,
remove my doubt and unbelief in you. Help me keep my trust in you always.
AMEN. 

Brave Jan Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 4

Scripture

Trials and Temptations

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Observation

Don't despair when you face roadblocks. It was sent to you because it is time for you to move on and improve yourself.

Application

Know that all these will pass. There are trials that we need to go through so that we can grow and mature. Don't give up the FAITH. Hang on.

Prayer

Dear GOD,

I know that you are always here with me and will always be.

AMEN.

Brave Jan Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 3

Scripture

Hebrews 4:15-16 New International Version (NIV)

15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Observation

GOD is there for us and he is able to understand us completely. He knows our flaws and how we can overcome them.

Application

Do things with confidence and seek GOD constantly. He is one who will always come through for us in all circumstances. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I'm really blessed to have received so many blessings from you.

Brave Jan Bible Studies- Week 4 - Day 2

Scripture

Psalm 73:26 New International Version (NIV)

26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
    but God is the strength of my heart
    and my portion forever.

Observation

GOD is your stronghold. He gives you the courage and determination to keep on going even though everything else seems like they are failing on you.

Application

Focus on GOD as your rock. He is your anchor and let him lead the way for you.

Prayer

Dear GOD,

you are my priority and deserve the biggest part of my heart.

AMEN. 

Brave Jan Bible Studies - Week 4- Day 1

Scripture

Revelation 21:4 New International Version (NIV)

4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Observation

God will remove all pain from you when he comes again for the 2nd time. 

Application

 God brings hope  to those who believe that all troubles and obstacles that we endure are worth it. 

Prayer.

Dear LORD,

I know that you will remove all sufferings and give me eternal bliss.

AMEN. 

Brave Jan Bible Studies- Week 3- Day 5

Scripture

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

Observation

Try as much as they can to destroy us but it will never come to past. GOD is always there to protect us.

Application

Trust in GOD to protect us. He is there to guide us all the way despite our troubles.

Prayer

Lord our GOD is the only one that can make miracles and everythign is possible by him.

Scripture

Ephesians 4:25 New International Version (NIV)

25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

Observation

Speak the truth and don't indulge in lies.

Application

Focus on delivering the truth. Not sugar coated words/ white lies and hurts which others put around us. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

Keep me talking the truth . Dispel the darkness with your light.

AMEN.

A Living Sacrifice

12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will

Observation

GOD asks us to take proper care of our own bodies and to defile it with LUST and other worldly sins.

Application

Treat your body with the utmost care. It needs to be properly tend to and protected against all evils. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

keep me healthy and steadfast in my love for you.

AMEN. 

Brave Jan Bible Studies- Week 3- Day 2

Scripture

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 New International Version (NIV)

Generosity Encouraged

6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

Observation
God never wants us to be selfish and self centered only caring about ourselves more then others. Do not do things grudgingly  or with a calculative mind.

Application
Do not act like small calculative people. Their narrow mindedness will be their downfall.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
Help me to remember to be generous to those in need.
AMEN.

Brave Jan Bible Studies- Week 3- Day 1

Scripture

Romans 8:35-39 New International Version (NIV)

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long;  we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[a]

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Observation

Nothing can separate us from GOD unless we  personally allow it to happen. Nothing can keep us from GOD if we don't allow them to. 

Application

Keep steadfast in your love for GOD. Focus constantly on maintaining and improving on your relationship with him. Nothing can and will stand in your way if you keep the FAITH.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

Keep me steadfast in my love for you.

AMEN. 

Brave Jan Bible Studies- Week 2 - Day 5

Scripture

Romans 12:13 New International Version (NIV)

13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality

Observation

God tells us to be generous with others. Do not be selfish with your blessings. 

Application

Give freely as GOD has given to us. He will want us to share what we have and be a blessing to others too. 

Prayer

 Dear LORD,

help me not to be selfish and self centred. Behaving in such a way will only lead me to the dark side and that is not where I want to be at. AMEN

Brave Jan Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 4

Scripture

Matthew 11:28-30 New International Version (NIV)

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Observation

GOD tells us to come to him and he will give us the peace that we seek. Do not be burden by the mundane task of everyday living in this world. 

Application

 Focus on what GOD wants for you and not be worried of what the world expects of you. They who seem to have your interest actually don't!! Follow his ways and you will not go wrong. Do not let the Devil tempt you nor lead you down the wrong path.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I seek my rest in you. 

AMEN. 

Brave Jan Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 3

Scripture

Love and Obey the Lord

11 Love the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees, his laws and his commands always.

Observation

Listen and follow the instructions from GOD.  

Application

Always listen to and follow the WORD. That is the least you can do since you decided  to follow him

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I know that you have your welfare at heart and that you are always there for me . AMEN.
