Scripture
Proverbs 31:8-9 8 Open your mouth for the mute,     for the rights of all who are destitute. 9 Open your mouth, judge righteously,     defend the rights of the poor and needy.


Observation

Speak out to protect others who need our protection.

Application

Speak for those who can't and you need to protect. Do not let them get bullied by Evil.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I thank you for giving me the strength to fight against evil.

Scripture
1 Thessalonians 5:11 11 Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

Observation
 It is important to encourage others so they will be able to encourage you too.

Application

Supporting others will give you support too as many of us have  gain support from others that way too.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
thank you for reminding me to support others as they have supported me.

James 1:19 19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;

Observation

Keeping your cool is very important.  You have to plan first before speaking.

Application

Spread the good news and deliberately choose what you are to talk about.

Word Matters - August Bible Studies- Week 3 - Day 5

Scripture
2 Timothy 2:23 23 Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels

Observation

There are many people around who are Shit Stirrers. They have nothing better to do than spread gossip and create untruths.

Application

Stay away from troublemakers, especially people who love to create havoc.  Don't let them interfere with your life and cause Chaos.

Prayer
 Dear LORD,
thank you for your gift of discernment that I be able to rid my life of all these unwanted people.

Scripture
 These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace;

Observation

Make peace with your words. It is not the approval of man but GOD that is important.

Application
 Do not tell lies like the vampires and Witches.  Set boundaries and don't let the minion of the devil trip you up.

Prayer

Dear LORD,
thank you for your constant reminder to keep my peace and following the path . AMEN.

August Bible Studies- Week 3 - Day 1

Scripture
Matthew 12:36-37 36 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, 37 for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Observation
God knows everything and will hold you accountable for whatever you do.

Application
 Take care of what you say and do. Be intentional in your actions.

Prayer
 Dear GOD, thanks for your plan for me.

Scripture

Isaiah 43:4 4 Because you are precious in my eyes,     and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you,     peoples in exchange for your life. 

Observation

GOD does cherish us and will give us what we need.

Application

God keeps track of us and will take good care of us if we submit all to him.

Prayer

Observation

Care for others around you. Use good words. :)

Scripture
Philippians 4:8 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Observation
 Focus on the GOOd and do what you should do.  Don't dwell on the terrible and nasty.

Application
 Do the right thing with what you say. Do things with a clear conscious and trust your GUT.

Prayer
Dear GOD,
thank you for your word and being there for me.

August Bible Studies- Word Matters- Week 2- Day 1

Scripture
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Observation
Be careful with what you speak about. Don't let your words corrode your integrity.

Application

Think before you speak and let not your mouth defile you. Speak things that will encourage yourself and others.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me control my tongue and use it for Good.

Aug Bible Studies Week 1 Reflection Questions

1)) God spoke the world into existence. We are told in the Bible that God’s Word will last for eternity. What do these truths tell us about the power of God’s Words? 

Gods word is everlasting and will not be dated throughout the years. It is relevant irregardless of which century we are in.

2) The words you use have consequences. They can bring life or death. How does this change your view of the words you use?

One must not use the tongue loosely or for evil. Being an educator this is even more important for me as what I say directly impacts my students and shapes their thinking.  I choose to use words that empower and uplift myself and others and keep to my standards. 

3. Take an inventory of your words lately. Based on the words you’ve been using, what is the condition of your heart?
The words that I am using are constantly evolving.They are less centered in feelings of unjust and more of peace and reflection.  I choose words that do not stir up bad and lingering unwelcome feelings.  I don't allow words to mess with my thoughts and give the DEVIL leeway to messing with my mind.

4. Who or what is controlling your mouth? What changes do you need to make to harness your mouth and use it for good?
Keep away from wayward thoughts and evil gossip mongers. Read the WORD and also keep following his ways so that my mouth is only used for GOOD and for praising him.

5. What effects do our words have on those around us?

We raise each other up and also encourage them to do their best. 

Words Matter- August Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 2

Scripture
The tongue has the power of life and death,
    and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Observation

What we say affects ourselves and others tremendously.  What we make out of the words determines our growth. 

Application
Think carefully before you talk. Decide what comes out of your mouth and also don't indulge in petty gossip with losers who only wish to tear you down.

Prayer
 Dear LORD,
let me know the strength of my tongue and use it to help others who are truly in need.
AMEN.

Scripture

Matthew 24:35 New International Version (NIV)

35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Observation
Words are everlasting. It will stand the test of time. It will exist forever.


Application
Take note of what you speak and what words you take into yourself. Listen earnestly for the WORD of GOD and take action on his word.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
thank you for your word. It has given me much peace and clarity.
