Dec Bible Studies Week 3- Day 3

 

Scripture

2 Corinthians 3:4-6

4 Now we have such confidence in God through Christ. 5 Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as if it were coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, 6 who made us adequate to be servants of a new covenant not based on the letter but on the Spirit, for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Observation

Our strength comes from GOD. He is our pillar of support. He gives us life that we need.

Application

 Rejuvenate yourself in the LORD. With him as your nectar of life you will be able to see through everything. 

Prayer
Dear Lord,

thank you for being there for me always. Show me the way so that I can grow closer to you. AMEN. 

Dec Bible studies - Week 3- Covenant

 Scriptures

For God achieved what the law could not do because it was weakened through the flesh. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the righteous requirement of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Observation

God send his son down to carry out his wishes. He shows us what can be done. 

Application

 Pay special attention to the words of GOD. As what he mentions will show you the way you should go while here on earth.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I'm blessed that you are here for me always. AMEN

Covenant Nov Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 1

Scripture

Matthew 22:36-40

36 “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” 37 Jesus said to him, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”

Observation

 GOD tells us to treat others like how we would do for ourselves.  He only wants the best for us. 

Application

Do what GOD commands of you within parameters. 

Prayer.

Dear Lord,

Help me understand you more and more each day. Amen. 

 

Covanants - Nov Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 2

 

Scripture

12 And God said, “This is the guarantee of the covenant I am making with you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all subsequent generations: 13 I will place my rainbow in the clouds, and it will become a guarantee of the covenant between me and the earth.

Observation

God keeps all his promises. He gives us signs to show that he does remember and keeps his word.

Application

Keep your promises to GOD as he has done for you. There can never be another person who is so dedicated to your well-being and has your welfare at heart always. 

Prayer

Dear LORD , 

Do remind me often of the covenant that you had made for us and strengthen my belief that I will be with you forever. AMEN

Jesus is our everything- Sept Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 1

 

Scripture

See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has an evil, unbelieving heart that forsakes the living God. 13 But exhort one another each day, as long as it is called “Today,” that none of you may become hardened by sin’s deception. 14 For we have become partners with Christ, if in fact we hold our initial confidence firm until the end

Observation

Be awake and observant. Know what is right and what you should do. 

Application

Do not conform to evil no associate with any of the devil minions who try to make you lazy or undermine your authority believes 

etc. 

Prayer

Dear LORD Keep me away from evil.

Jesus is our everything- Sept bible studies- Week 1- Day 3 /4

 Scripture ( Wednesday)

Therefore we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away

    Observation

- Pay attention to our surrounding and listen carefully to the sounds we hear around us.

Application

Be focus to what is around you and absorb what works for you.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

be there for me amen. 

Jesus our Everything- Sept bible Studies- Week 1 - Day 1 /Day 2

Scripture
The Son is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word, and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. 4 Thus he became so far better than the angels as he has inherited a name superior to theirs

Observation

God's words are enriching. His position gives him an advantage over others.

Application

Listen to the word of GOD it has much wisdom and also will help us through our days.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

thank you for imparting your wisdom to me. AMEN.

Day 2

Scripture

but of the Son he says,

“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,

and a righteous scepter is the scepter of your kingdom.

9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness.

So God, your God, has anointed you over your companions with the oil of rejoicing.”

Observation

God has chosen who is to be beside him.  He likes when people are not lawless.

Application

Follow the law and do what he wants of us so that we will be able to reap what he promises us

Prayer

Dear LORd,

thank you for providing for me. AMen. 

Sept Bible Studies Week 3 - Day 3

 Scripture

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life.

Observation

God is the one who controls everything. He is the one that directs. 

Application

Ensure that you have GOD within you. There is nothing that he can't do. 

Prayer

Dear LORD,

I'm puting my trust in you and I know that you will make it alright for me. 

AMEN. 

August Bible Studies Week 3- Day 1

 Scripture

And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has in us. God is love, and the one who resides in love resides in God, and God resides in him

Observation

GOD always loves us. He is there for us and we live in him.

Application

Embrace LOVE and GOD and you will be able to do better.

Prayer

Dear GOD ,

thank you for all your love.

August Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 5

Scripture

In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Observation

GOD does love us. He does have our best interest in heart. 

Application

Love GOD as much as he has loved you. 

Prayer,

Dear GOD,

thanks for all your love.

August Bible Study- Week 2- Day 1

 Scripture

28 And now, little children, remain in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink away from him in shame when he comes back. 29 If you know that he is righteous, you also know that everyone who practices righteousness has been fathered by him.

Observation

Stay where you are and be centered in him. You do know that he will be coming for you.

Application

Take note about what is happening around you. Be vigilant and look at what you have around you stick to your focus and know that your destiny lies in him.

Prayer

Dear LORD protect me from all evil as I await your coming.

AMEN. 

August Bible Studies Week 1- Day 5

 

Scripture

Now this is the promise that he himself made to us: eternal life.

Observation

We are promised the jewels of GOD. We have to be patient so we can receive it.

Application

Believe in the promise that GOD has given us. He always keeps his word.

August Bible Studies Week 1 Day 4

 

Scripture

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, 16 because all that is in the world (the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the arrogance produced by material possessions) is not from the Father, but is from the world

Observation

know what is best for you and don't pursue the things of the world. It will only corrupt you more.

Application

Focus on what really matters.

Prayer

Dear GOD ,

Help me keep my focus. AMEN. 

August Bible Studies Week 1- Day 3

 

Scripture

Now by this we know that we have come to know God: if we keep his commandments. 4 The one who says “I have come to know God” and yet does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in such a person. 5 But whoever obeys his word, truly in this person the love of God has been perfected. By this we know that we are in him. 6 The one who says he resides in God ought himself to walk just as Jesus walked.

Observation

Look carefully then you will know who is honest and who is a blatant lie . There are a lot of fake people around.

Application

Focus on what GOD has for you and keep to the path that he has set out for you.

Prayer

Dear LORD,

Keep me focus so that I will be able to maximise my potential AMEN

August Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 1

 

Scripture

Thus we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.

Observation

We know that  GOD is there for us and what he has planned for us will give us joy. 

Application

jot down what GOD has done for you so that you be able to remember and show your gratitude. 

Prayer

Thank you GOD for all you have done for me. Getting rid of pests and attracting the right type of people to me. AMEN, 

Empowered July Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 4

Scripture
12 But when they believed Philip as he was proclaiming the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they began to be baptized, both men and women. 13 Even Simon himself believed, and after he was baptized, he stayed close to Philip constantly, and when he saw the signs and great miracles that were occurring, he was amazed.

Observation

only when you believe will you accept the word of GOD. Once you accept him. you will be able to see his wonders.

Application
 Keep your faith and do not be swayed by naysayers  or evil doers. You know what is best for you at the current stage of your life.

Prayer
Dear Lord
keep my faith in you strong.

Empowered June Bible Studies - Week 2- Day 1

Scripture
The word of God continued to spread, the number of disciples in Jerusalem increased greatly, and a large group of priests became obedient to the faith.

Observation
The word of GOD spreads around easily  Everyone who hears it will want to believe in it.

Application
Listen carefully to the voice of the LORD.
Prayer
Dear LORd,
help me hear your words carefully.

Empowered June bible studies - Week 1- Day 5

Scripture
And every day both in the temple courts and from house to house, they did not stop teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus was the Christ.


Observation
Everyone is sharing about Jesus and his good news.
Take  heed of his blessings.

Application
continuing learning about GOD and also his words

Empowered June Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 2

Scripture
42 They were devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Reverential awe came over everyone, and many wonders and miraculous signs came about by the apostles

Observation
Through learning and observation there is much to gain. Only through understanding will one be able to benefit from the WORD.

Application
Read and apply what you have learned. This is the only way that you can experience the WORD of GOD and reap the blessings from it. Executing what he says that you have to do will only bring you good.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
strengthen my faith in you.

Empowered June Bible Studies- Week 1- Day 1

scripture
 7 He told them, “You are not permitted to know the times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth.”

Observation
God will not tell us the actual time of his coming and how he will be coming. He does tell us that we will receive his holy spirit and power from him when he comes and it will be spread throughout the earth.

Application
Be always prepared He may come when you least expect it. You will know when he arrives. You will be able to feel it and see it.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
let me always be prepared for your coming.
AMEN.

Fear and Anxiety- June Bible Studies Week 6- Day 5

Scripture
Proverbs 3:5-8
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding.
6 Acknowledge him in all your ways,
and he will make your paths straight.
7 Do not be wise in your own estimation;
fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
8 This will bring healing to your body,

and refreshment to your inner self.

Observation
Lean on GOD for your understanding. Not everything is as clear as it seems on paper. He will reveal all the different meanings.

Application
Know what is best for you. Rely on GOD to see you through and give you the understanding that you need.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I will be leaning on you always.

Fear and Anxiety - June Bible Studies- Week 6 - Day 4

Scripture
But be sure you live out the message and do not merely listen to it and so deceive yourselves. 23 For if someone merely listens to the message and does not live it out, he is like someone who gazes at his own face in a mirror.

Observation
Take action and not just listen to the messages given out by god. Not taking action will only be to your detriment.

Application

Follow and execute the actions required to carry out the message.  You will not benefit if you are idle and refuse to do anything after hearing the message.

Prayer
Dear Lord,
help me remain active. AMEN.

Fear and Anxiety - Jun Bible Studies Week 6 day 3

Scripture
Romans 12:21

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Observation
 Do not follow and do the same evil deeds that others do.

Application
Do not be rash and follow the bad examples of others.  Be good to yourself so that you will not be disadvantaged by the others.

Prayer
 Dear LORD,
help me not to be rash and plan things out systematically always.
AMEN.

Fear and Anxiety June bible studies- Week 6- Day 2

Scripture
Proverbs 16:3
3 Commit your works to the Lord,

and your plans will be established.

Observation
Whatever we do put it to the LORD.  He will make sure that what we want does get done.

Application
trust in the lord you god when you do things. He will make sure that everything will go through well  and all will turn out as you want it.

Prayer
 Dear LORD,
I commit my life to you. Engulf me and the kids  in your protection

Fear and Anxiety - Jun Bible Studies- Week 6- Day 1

Scripture
11 Clothe yourselves with the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.

Observation
What we are fighting against can't be resolved by our own strength. We need to lean on him in order to survive this battle.

Application
 Depend on the LORD to see you through the dark days. He has the best battle plan which will guarantee success when executed. Follow what he has set out for you

Prayer
Dear GOD,
I cherish the armor that you have given me to fight off evil. AMEN

Scripture
Proverbs 15:4
4 Speech that heals is like a life-giving tree,

but a perverse speech breaks the spirit.

Observation
 What you speak really affects yourself and those around you.

Application
Be careful with your speech and not let the speech of others especially those with perverted ideas who do not find anything wrong with it.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
keep me away from those with a diseased mouth.
AMEN.

Scripture
Colossians 3:17

17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Observation
 Be mindful of whatever you do.  Do note GOD's presence in everything that you do.

Application
Do not be rash in your behavior. Think through before executing your choice of action so there will be no regret.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me keep my eyes on you and think about you in all my actions.

Colossians 3:2
2 Keep thinking about things above, not things on the earth

Observation
Keep your focus on what is correct for you. Don't get influenced by the way of the world.

Application
Know what is your focus and keep your eye on it. There is nothing more important then gaining entry into the kingdom of GOD when our time is up here on Earth.

Prayer
Dear GOD,
help me keep my focus on you.

Scripture
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice!

Observation
 Enjoy and be happy in the LORD. He brings you great joy.

Application
 Celebrate the achievement that you have. Be happy with what God gives to you.  You deserve to be happy.
Prayer
Dear LORD I rejoice in you always.

Psalm 118:5-7
5 In my distress I cried out to the Lord.
The Lord answered me and put me in a wide open place.
6 The Lord is on my side; I am not afraid.
What can people do to me?
7 The Lord is on my side as my helper.

I look in triumph on those who hate me.

Observation
The Lord is always there for you. He is supportive of you and will give you what you need to thrive in this world.

Application
 Rely on him as he will certainly not let you down. He is always there for you so do TRUST and put your faith in him.

Keep thinking about things above, not things on the earth,

Observation
Many a time we stress over relatively unimportant stuff in our lives while we should be focus more on GOD and his teachings.

Application
 Do not be distracted by the ways of the world. Focus on what is truly of value to you.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me to keep my focus on you and also keep me away from unwanted earthly distractions.

Fear and Anxiety- May Bible Studies- Week 3 - Day 3

Scripture
37 No, in all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us! 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Observation
all power comes from GOD. He is our source and everything comes from him.

Application
His love for us is unending.  It is overflowing. He will always be there for us therefore we need to pay attention to his word and out actions.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
thank you for always being there for me and the kids.

Fear and Anxiety- May Bible Studies. Week 3 Day 2

Scripture
13 You will subdue a lion and a snake;
you will trample underfoot a young lion and a serpent.
14 The Lord says,
“Because he is devoted to me, I will deliver him;

I will protect him because he is loyal to me.

Observation
God does what he says. He will help you triumphant over evil. He gives you the tools that you need to fight your battles.

Application
Trust in the LORD your GOD. Your devotion to him will certainly be rewarded. he does deliver on his promises to you. Stay firm in your resolve to do the right things by him.

Prayer
Dear LORD, help me draw closer and closer to you and overcome this plateau.

Scripture
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.


Observation

There isn't any discrimination against those that are with GOD. He accepts and welcomes all.

Application

God is there for all. We just need to be more open and trusting towards him. Accepting his ways and following his commandments so that we can live better lives here on earth.

Prayer
Dear GOD
I can't wait for all this to end so that everything can go back to a bit more normalcy. I know it's all in your planning and I just need to be patient. AMEN.

Scripture
Isaiah 54:17
17 No weapon forged to be used against you will succeed;
you will refute everyone who tries to accuse you.
This is what the Lord will do for his servants—
I will vindicate them,”
says the Lord.

John 10:10

Observation

God will protect all his people. He  will help us fight against our enemies and people who are all out to give us trouble.  He will right all the wrongs.

Application
 Trust in our LORD your GOD to do the right thing. He won't just sit idly around when evil approaches and let us suffer for no reason.  Nurture your understanding of him and also deepen your faith and trust in him and his teachings.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I know that you be there to protect me and help me redress all evil. I await your vindication from all those that are currently opposing me.

Scripture

Then he said to them,
“Where is your faith?” But they were afraid and amazed, saying to one another,
“Who then is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey

him!”


Observation
A lot of people were  fearful when they saw GOD in all his wonders. They doubted their own faith therefore they were not able to understand nor see his greatness.

Application
 Do not doubt your faith in GOD. He is capable of overcoming all and providing everything for you. He owns this world and all in it. Increase your faith in him and his capabilities.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
Keep my faith strong in you.

Scripture
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear.

Observation

Don't be so concerned about material things and the way of this world. It will not bring you any joy or long lasting peace.


Application
Belief and trust in the LORD  your GOD will protect and provide for you.  Follow his words and his path for you.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
thank you for always taking care of me and the kids.

Fear and Anxiety April Bible Studies. - Week 1- Day 3

Scripture

Proverbs 29:25
25 The fear of people becomes a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord will be set on high.

Observation

Unwarranted fear becomes a cage for you. The only release you will get is if you understand who is the true savior of this world.

Application

Know and trust the LORD our God. Put your stake with him and not with the world or other humans. They do not have your best interest in heart and mostly want to LORD over you or enslave you for generations.  Don't let collective fear of the unknown or what seems to be overwhelming due to external global factors put you in a cage.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me keep leaning on you as my pillar of strength. Help me discern right from wrong and keep me trusting you always.
AMEN.

Fear And Anxiety- Week 1 Study Focus

WEEK 1 Challenge:

• Make a list of all the things that you fear about the future, whether that is tomorrow or twenty years from now.
• What truths about God are you struggling to believe related to these fears? Ask the Lord to strengthen your faith in those areas.

There are many things this COVID-19 period which get one thinking about what is totally relevant to leading a godly life.  There is too much uncertainty in the world with the current global recession. 

There is much to fear about the future and what it may entitle.
Eg: Job security, health , maintaining and advancing my relationship with GOD.

These are the on-going fears which I have. 
God knows my struggles and my attempts to overcome all odds irregardless of the situation that I have been placed in. 

Dear LORD,
Guide me so that I will be able to follow you closely.
AMEN. 

Fear and Anxiety bible studies- April - Week 1 - Day 1

Scripture
Jeremiah 29:11
11 For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the Lord. ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.


Observation

God has already set plans for the development of his people. He only wants good for us.  He knows what is best and in our interest.

Application
 Study and follow what GOD has intended for us. There are things which maybe beyond our comprehension at this stage however being persistent and working on his teaching is certainly going to be beneficial for you.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
Teach me your plans so that I be able to follow through and prosper according to them.
AMEN.

Risen Bible studies - Week 4- Day 5

Scripture

Observation
God knows the way and will lead us if we keep our faith and intensify our relationship with him.

Application
Strengthen your belief in GOD. Call upon him, heed his words and follow his instructions. He is the one who will protect you and your family through this crucial time.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I humbly call upon you to guide and protect me and the family through this Covid-19 period .
AMEN.

March Risen Bible Studies - Week 4- Day 1

Scripture
 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is your life because of righteousness. 11 Moreover if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies alive through his Spirit who lives in you.

Observation
 It is through Christ that you live. He is the one who will make your body and soul whole.

Application
Believe in his greatness. The Holy spirit will descend on you and show you the way. Navigating the narrow path to his kingdom.

Dear LORD,
I'm glad to have you in me. I know that you live forever.

Scripture
 HE was given over because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of our justification

Observation
God is the one that oversees everything and he has went ahead and suffered for our sins.

Application
GOD knows the way out of darkness and how to navigate through the myriad of controversies

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I'm really blessed to have you as my beacon of light to lead me through this life.
AMEN

March Risen Bible Studies- Week 2- Day 3

Scripture
Acts 26:22-23 22 I have experienced help from God to this day, and so I stand testifying to both small and great, saying nothing except what the prophets and Moses said was going to happen: 23 that the Christ was to suffer and be the first to rise from the dead, to proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.”

Observation

God knows and have experienced all. He has gone first so that he is able to prepare us for what is to come.

Application
 Trust in the LORD your GOD that he be able to guide you through all the thunderstorms that come your way. He knows what is forthcoming and will be able to help you navigate through all the murky waters.

Prayer
 Dear LORD,
Being able to experience your LOVE and seek you on a daily basis has certainly been comforting and stabilizing in this turbulent world.

March- Risen bible studies. Week 1 Day 4

Scripture
IT IS THE SAME WITH THE RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD. WHAT IS SOWN IS PERISHABLE, WHAT IS RAISED IS IMPERISHABLE. IT IS SOWN IN DISHONOR, IT IS RAISED IN GLORY; IT IS SOWN IN WEAKNESS, IT IS RAISED IN POWER; IT IS SOWN A NATURAL BODY, IT IS RAISED A SPIRITUAL BODY. IF THERE IS A NATURAL BODY, THERE IS ALSO A SPIRITUAL BODY.

Observation

We have  to take note what we sow. To be clean so that we are worthy of our heavenly bodies.

Application
 Take note  of what you allow and disallow. Build up your spirituality and also clear up your mind so that you will be pure in his sight.

Prayer

 Dear LORD,
help me to always take care about what I sow and not let myself be infected by evil..

 15 Also, we are found to be false witnesses about God, because we have testified against God that he raised Christ from the dead, when in reality he did not raise him, if indeed the dead are not raised. 16 For if the dead are not raised, then not even Christ has been raised.

Observation
If you do not believe then where do all these miracles come from? It is important to have the faith.

Application
 Do not behave like the masses.  Following blindly and not strengthening their faith in GOD. Not believing and taking action to strengthen your walk with GOD to know his beauty.

Prayer
 Dear LORD,
Let me not be swayed by the ways of the world and also guide me in my walk with you.

3 For I passed on to you as of first importance what I also received—that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, 4 and that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day according to the scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve

Observation

It all happened as it was mentioned. Everything had been foretold and occurred accordingly.

Application

God knows what will happen and what is going to be happening in this world.  Therefore believe in him and follow his instructions so that you will be fully protected from the evils that come your way.

Prayer
 Dear GOD,
I'm grateful for your guidance and for you being there for me every step of the way. Shielding and teaching me as I walk together with you in this journey here on earth.
