Jonah Sept Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 5

Psalm 145:8-9; Titus 2:11 The Lord is gracious and compassionate,
    slow to anger and rich in love.
The Lord is good to all;
    he has compassion on all he has made.


Observation

God treats us all kindly.  He treats us like GEMs.

Application
Learn to be like the lord. Slow to anger and rich in love. 

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I thank you for your compassion towards me.
AMEN.

Jonah Sept Bible Studies- Week 4 - Day 4

Scripture

 Romans 5:6-9 
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!
Observation
God loves us so much that he died for us. He gave us the ultimate sacrifice himself. He shows us that we are worthy of his love. 
Application
Trust and believe in GOD. He has sacrificed a lot for us and we should follow his plan for us. 

Prayer
Dear LORD,
thank you for your selfless sacrifice that you have for me. 
AMEN

Jonah Sept Bible Studies- Week 4- Day 3

Psalm 116:5 New International Version (NIV)


The Lord is gracious and righteous;
    our God is full of compassion.

Psalm 103:10 New International Version (NIV)

10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve
    or repay us according to our iniquities.

Observation
 GOD is good to us. He gives us chances and also lets us repent. 

Application
 Be as gracious as GOD to others. We need to understand how to be more like him in our lives.

Prayer
 Dear GOD,
I thank you for your generosity and being so kind to me.
AMEN.

Jonah Sept Bible Studies- Week 4- day 2


Scripture

Romans 3:23 New International Version (NIV)

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Micah 6:8 New International Version (NIV)

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
    And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
    and to walk humbly[a] with your God.


Observation
Ask and GOD will let you know what you should be doing. He will not lead you on the wrong path. You do know what you should do.

Application
 Follow the path that GOD has set you and you won't go wrong.  You do know what you should do in your life to be in his favor. 

Prayer
Dear GOD,
help me remain focus on the path and train my mind to be resilient to all the Devil's temptations. 
AMEN. .

Jonah Sept bible studies- Week 4- Day 1


Scripture
He prayed to the Lord, “Isn’t this what I said, Lord, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity


Observation
God is very tolerant. He gives us time to repent from evil. He knows what is best for us.

Application
 Change away from evil. Stay true to the WORD and on the Path that GOD has set for you. God has already told you how it will be if you do not follow his word.

Prayer

Dear LORD,
Help me stay true to you and also guide me along the way.
AMEN.

Jonah Sept Bible Studies Week 3- Day 4

Scripture

When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.

Observation
 It is not GOD's will to bring destruction to this earth. As long as we repent and also stay away from the evil ways.

Application
 We need to pray  and also keep the FAITH to stay away from evil ways .

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I know what a benevolent GOD you are as you do your best to prevent any destruction onto us. 
AMEN

Jonah Sept Bible Studies- Week 3 - Day 2


Scripture
he Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Observation
God  gives us adequate time to grow and develop in our relationship with him. He does keep all his promises.

Application
Wait on the LORD as he does carry out all promises to you. Repent if you have sin and he will forgive you. 

Prayer
 Dear LORD,
I am really blessed to know you and grateful for your big Heart.
AMEN.

Jonah Sept Bible Studies - Week 3- Day 1


Scripture

Lamentations 3:21-23 New International Version (NIV)

21 Yet this I call to mind
    and therefore I have hope:

22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
    for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness

Observation

God is good.. his love encompasses all. There is nothing beyond his abilities.

Application
 Place your hope and Trust in the LORD. He will see you through and guide you through the obstacles that come your way.
Being faithful will bring you blessings.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I am  grateful for your love and concern for me. 
AMEN.

Scripture
But with you there is forgiveness,
    so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
    and in his word I put my hope.

Observation
The LORD is always there for you. He will forgive our sin and lead us throughout our Journey here on earth. 

Application
 There are many things happening around you which may distract you from GOD. Keep focused and put your HOPE in GOD.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
help me keep my faith in you. I know you have the best interest for me. 
AMEN.

Scripture

1 John 5:14 New International Version (NIV)

14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

Observation
We will get what we seek through Christ.  With confidence he will provide us what we need. 
Application
God delivers what he promises us. Not like men who can betray us and break our trust. He knows what is best for us and guides us along the path.
Prayer
Dear LORD,
I thank you for your guidance. I know that you have my welfare at heart and that you will take care of me and the kids always. 
AMEN.

Scripture
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Observation
God knows all and sees all. Everyone has to be accountable for all their actions

Application

Don't try to cheat GOD. He knows all and will take appropriate actions if you are wayward 

Prayer
 Dear LORD,
I know you see and observe everything.  Guide me in my walk with you. AMEN.

1 John 1:9 New International Version (NIV)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Observation
Confess your sin and GOD will accept it. He is benevolent as long as you are repentant.

Application
Be truthful and make sure that all are well with you and GOD. Focus on him and his ways.

Prayer
Dear GOD,
keep me from evil and sin.
AMEN. 

Jonah Sept Bible Studies - Week 1- Day 3

1 John 2:4-6 New International Version (NIV)

Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God[a] is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
Observation
 He asks us to walk the walk and not just talk. NATO won't cut it with GOD. 
Application
GOD ask us to totally submit to him and really live according to his plan. He wants us to live by his design and show that we really obey his word.
Prayer
Dear LORD,
you do know that I am and will submit to you and your teachings. 
AMEN.

Jonah Sept Bible Studies Week 1 - Day 1


Scripture

Psalm 139:7-10 New International Version (NIV)

Where can I go from your Spirit?
    Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
    if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
    your right hand will hold me fast.

Observation
GOD is everywhere. There is nowhere where you can go to hide from him. He goes where you are.

Application.
Nothing can be hidden from GOD. He knows and sees all.  Trust that he knows best for you.

Prayer
Dear LORD,
I know that I cannot hide from you. You are there for me and I can cling to you.
AMEN.
